Theatre & room hire
Zinc Arts have taken the difficult decision to stop taking bookings for any rooms in our building. We are taking this time to refurbish and update, in hopes to welcome you back in the near future.
Finding the perfect the perfect venue at the right location and price can be difficult, but with Zincs hire spaces we'd like to put an end to that search.
The venue has a number of multi-purpose spaces which have been designed with high levels of access in mind. Therefore, Zinc’s flexibility means that it can be utilised for a wide variety of layouts, including cabaret, boardroom, theatre, U-shape and more.
Our meeting rooms can hold up to 40 delegates consequently ideal for training, workshops and networking events. Additional equipment is available to hire to ensure your conference is the success you need it to be.
The Zinc team are on hand: helpful, friendly and committed to making sure you have everything you need.
Theatre/Studio (230m2)
State of the art performance & conference facility with two dressing rooms backstage.
The Essex Studio can be arranged as theatre for theatrical performances, live bands and showcases. The flexibility of the space means it can also be used for creative workshops, large conferences, community events, exhibitions, training & networking events, content creation and even fitness classes!
It features retractable seating for 72 people plus additional floor and mezzanine space for extra seating where required. (121 seats)
The studio is fully equipped for your every need featuring:

· Modern sprung dance floor
Oak (56m2)
Oak is one of the largest spaces, offering an abundance of flexibility. It is suitable for meetings, workshops, larger presentations, rehersals and activities including dance, drama and music.
It can also be used for photo shoots due to it's abundance of natural light.
Rowan (37m2)
A flexible meeting room suitable for groups and small workshops.
Rowan is smaller than Oak and provides a more intimate setting - often hired for auditions, interviews, training sessions, support groups & community clubs.
Acacia (47m2)
A medium sized space with a sink.
Suitable for art and artistic workshops, it is now home to a wealth of creativity!
Acacia is the brightest of the Zinc Centre Rooms with it's abundance of natural light pouring in through the fully glazed wall.
Atrium (154m2)
This large open central space is the hub of Zinc arts. With it's gorgeous vaulted ceiling and access to our commercial kitchen and theatre, it's the perfect space to host larger events.
Combining beautifully preserved Victorian architecture with striking contemporary features - including a spacious staircase and balcony - Zinc Centre offers a unique and versatile space, which can also be used for film, television and commercial productions.
