Artspace
Fun and relaxing arts and crafts sessions for adults. No previous experience is necessary.These sessions are for people who are experiencing difficulties and stress in their lives. The aim of the sessions is to build self confidence and promote emotional and general well-being.
The Biz
A weekly programme of training workshops for adults with learning disabilities, with a strong focus on communication skills, creativity and teamwork. The programme can also prepare participants for employment within the arts and creative industries. Throughout the year, participants undertake a wide range of arts, ICT and basic skills training and set up arts projects with Zinc. This term participants will focus on visual art, working towards an exhibition at the end of term.
Creative Plus Programme
Starting September 2013, Zinc Arts are launching the innovative new courses for the Creative Plus Programme, which combines creative arts activities with the core skills needed for independent living. This unique programme is for adults aged 18 years and over who are disabled, learning disabled or a mental health service user, and offers them a wide variety of courses to take part in which teach both artistic techniques and the fundamental skills needed for self-development, teambuilding and confidence-building.

Creative Short Breaks
Zinc Arts are running short break residentials throughout 2013, providing adults aged 18 years and over the opportunity to take part in creative activities in a relaxed and friendly environment. The Creative Short Break programme aspires to help adults learn new and interesting art techniques, enabling them to recharge creatively while also enjoying a break away from the stresses of everyday life.
These residentials will take place at Zinc Arts Centre, and participants will be staying at our on-site Residential Centre.

HAFLS (Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Services)
Zinc is working across Hertfordshire with adults aged 19+ providing taster workshops in ‘Visual Art’, ‘Confidence and Communication through Drama’, and ‘Introduction to Animation’. Through these sessions participants get to develop new skills and enjoy being creative!
