Donate - Trusts and Foundations

Zinc is a registered charity and is dependent on the generous support of trusts and foundations from across the UK to provide its essential and much need support to over 7,500 people each year. Trusts and Foundations provide Zinc with a vital source of revenue and we are very grateful to the trusts and foundations that have supported us in the past - current supporters

We are always looking to establish partnerships with new funders to ensure our work continues to expand and develop successfully. If you would like to get involved or if you would like information about our most recent projects and activities, or further information on how you can help, please contact us.

Donate - Corporate

There are many different ways for companies to support us and help us to reach more people each year:

Staff Fundraising

Payroll Giving

Sponsorship

Staff Fundraising

Staff fundraising is a great way to encourage teamwork in your company. It is fun and motivating, benefiting company morale and gives staff the opportunity to develop new skills. Zinc needs your support to work with even more disabled people and socially excluded groups in the UK so that we can continue to deliver exciting, engaging and educational arts projects, training and employment opportunities.

Examples of what your donation could do

- £50 could go towards paying a community artist for their work on a project.
- £100 could pay for a support worker to assist a disabled young person take park in an arts workshop.
- £250 could pay for a person with learning difficulties to attend a 2 day course in music making.

Payroll giving

Payroll giving could mean a consistent supply of funds for Zinc. It is a tax-effective way to give straight from your salary. All donations are taken from your gross pay before tax, so your gift is worth more. For example, if you pay tax at the standard rate and would like to give £5 per month to Zinc, you will only pay £4 from your monthly salary. The taxman will add £1 so the total amount received by Zinc is £5.

Setting up payroll giving is simple and free. Contact your HR department who will ask you to fill in a form that will give them permission to deduct donations to Zinc straight from your pre-taxed salary.

When you set up a payroll giving scheme for your employees, your company could receive a Quality Mark in recognition of your commitment to charitable giving. You will receive a certificate and be entitled to use the Quality Mark logo on company literature. Using the Quality Mark sends a clear message of your commitment to supporting your employees’ charitable giving, reflecting the level of participation you’ve achieved within your organisation

Sponsorship

We welcome company sponsorship in numerous areas of our work such as, events, projects and rooms for example. Charity sponsorship activities can support your corporate responsibility strategy and create positive PR opportunities for your business.

People are more likely to support businesses they feel are part of their world and are likely to assume you share their goals and values. It is also a great way to give back to the community and help support causes that need your help.

Sponsorship benefits:

- Increase brand loyalty
- Brand differentiation
- Change/strengthen brand image
- Create company or product awareness and visibility
- Drive retail traffic or sales
- Highlight community responsibility or corporate social responsibility
- Build new and deeper community networks
- Enhance credibility and educate the public about products and services
- Recruit, retain or motivate employees
